Ferrari losing 3 tenths from the exit of Juncao up to the finish line. So much grunt missing it is disheartening. Superfast engine running in conservation mode again?
Engines usually turned down in Free practice. If they are still down after qualifying, that's a different story.

RB don't look that quick on the straights either. At least not by the margins we've come to expect. Mercedes is matching them.
Yeah RB is running their singapore/Hungary beam wing here for some reason; it's making them roughly equal to Merc on the straights. It's unusual but maybe they're worried about similar deg to Austria hitting them again at the medium altitude. Might be a lack of spare parts as well this late in the season

It's no wonder Max had tons of understeer with their highest downforce BW on
Maybe they want the extra load for rain.

It's ironic that Max complains about not turning and Checo sets a P1 time that stood for the last half hour

Yep :D Last time Perez topped a FP session was back in Baku when the RB was also understeering like crazy. Outqualified Max there too

There's basically no spray coming off the inters on most of the track. These inters will only be good for 1-2 laps.

Ferrari came out on fire but have fallen considerably. They are going to need to go again.
