As a Mclaren fan I am not happy for not seeing Lando getting that pole. I'm salty that K-Mag lucked out. Still let's see the good things. Norris starts 3 places in front of Alonso and 2 from Ocon. If only Daniel could get into a Q3 for once.

I am mistaken. Sainz has a grid penalty and we are gonna have two Alpines behind.

Feel like George robbed us of a great fight for pole... happy for Haas though.

Pray for tomorrow to have these conditions cause Lando will eat them for breakfast.

So an American Team got pole since Shadow from 1975. Bravo K-Mag but you were very lucky and tomorrow Lando will eat you for breakfast.

Sigh. I really wanted that pole so we can say that we did something this year.

You can't say robbed now, you get flack for it
When arguing with a fool, be sure the other person is not doing the same thing.

I won't lie when I say that I am a little salty for losing the only pole we might have goten this year by sheer luck again just like it happened in Sochi. I really wanted that pole.

What's the weather for tomorrow?

It is not luck. 8 drivers got a shot on equal tyres with equal track conditions and a free track in front of them. And Magnussen was quickest. Good job from him.

Was it though on equal tyres or were his tyres fresher? And yes he was a little lucky as we all know he would have been passed in the next laps. However bravo to that fantastic lap he did.

What's the weather for tomorrow? Can we expect these conditions to help Norris climb up to first?

When it comes down to luck you only have a 1 in 10 chance. Also, being last in constructors means, Mag was closest to the pit exits, and got the driest track. So it was in his favour.

Wasn't sochi for the race win and not the pole ?

It's a sprint race tommorrow, their could be a complete reversal for the race. Weather is gonna be be the same, variable.

Why not wait for decent result tomorrow first? I highly doubt Lando can "eat them for breakfast" so easily. Many things went his way when achieving 4th.
If i would get the money to start my own F1 team, i would revive Arrows

I noticed, neither Alpine or McLaren ran softs in FP1. Long runs on Hard and medium for both teams. Since McLaren tends to be harder on it's tires, Alpine starting on soft, would have been a edge in speed McLaren didn't need. Might mean that Alpine and McLaren can't pull off 24 laps on softs.

Stay tunned for FP2 tommorrow.

Oh I did forget the rain tomorrow didn't I....

I heard the commentators say making the softs last for sprint quali was marginal. Can't remember if that was Pirelli or the teams they were quoting though.
