He's got some damage, front wheel tie rod on the left is bent slightly. Might see it chew the front tyres which is why they're running the softs as long as they can

I thi k it was a harsh penalty. And no way near as clear cut as Verstappens.
How was verstapens clear cut? Hamilton turned in, after remembering he hasn’t taken out a Red Bull this season.

Let’s be fair to Alpine- they are often faster but have had poor reliability.

IMHO, 5th is what we deserve and frankly I want the additional wind tunnel time that brings because we need that opportunity to develop.

We saw a big difference with Mercedes works team and us down the straights- looks like the works team are slowly understanding their concept and the drag c downforce trade offs. Aston Martin too.

Hope James and the boys make a good step in the winter having had a season of new regs on their back.

Max was never making the corner, that's why he got a penalty, he rolled off the brakes and was faster on that tight line than he was on a normal line through the apex. He forced that into "get out of my way or crash because neither of us is making the corner"

Fair penalty for Norris tbfh, it could have been a racing incident imo but at the end of the day he understeered wide into the Ferrari, Mclaren might have lost 4th here today and it's entirely down to driver errors today.

Mainly because it looked like Verstappen hit Hamilton. It was a clearer hit then Norris, which also looks fair after rewatching.

I read similar comments like this last season.
‘Let’s loose our fight with Ferrari for P3 and have more x,y and z for finishing P4 so we have a better 2022 season’… but look how that turned out….
Surely we want to win the fight we are in??
