Binotto-Ferrari: official on team principal's resignation and farewell in hours.

https://www.corriere.it/sport/formula-1 ... refresh_ce
No date, face value
The relationship between Ferrari and Mattia Binotto ends here. According to the Corriere, it is a matter of hours for the official announcement, as the parties are reportedly finalising the clauses enshrining the terms of an announced and, apparently, agreed separation. The news has filtered out almost casually from foreign sources linked to Charles Leclerc's entourage. They do not speak at Maranello without managing to conceal an embarrassment; it is impossible to communicate with the team principal who is said to have decided to leave the scene in the face of a persistent lack of trust on the part of president John Elkann, with whom relations have been cold for a long time.

Apparently Vasseur. Seidl declined if we are to believe rumours.

he makes an analysis of each half of the season (qualy).
at the final minutes of the video is the analysis of ferrari.
first 11 races
lec 8 sainz 3 difference in favour of lec = 0.186

sainz 6 lec 5 difference in favour of sai = 0.014

Resignation #Binotto:
The situation in Maranello cannot yet be entirely clear.
There is even a strange apparent calm, no one between team/factory knows, gathered mixed feelings.

I am not a math guy, but where are the 2 races he gives to Sainz? I count 9-2 in favor of Lec for the first 11, and 6-5 in favor of Lec in the last 11.

Am I missing something?

Didn't Leclerc have an inferior PU at times in the second half?

It was 9-2 and 6-5 for Leclerc actually. Qualy gaps on average are useless without context, since only dry Q sessions without engine penalties for either of them should be taken into account. If we take it like that, it was 8-0 in 1st 11 races with 0.406s average advantage for Leclerc and 3-2 in 2nd 11 races for Leclerc with 0.019s average advantage for Sainz. Mexico engine problem really hurt Leclerc.

Seidl to Ferrari?
Would anyone want the job?
Seems to be the poison chalice. Ferrari people get other internal jobs, but I would think a non-Ferrari guy would think carefully before accepting.
When arguing with a fool, be sure the other person is not doing the same thing.

The idea that Frederic Vasseur would be a good replacement makes the story seem either ridiculous, or an indication that the high-ups at Ferrari are actually the real problem. You might think that this is harsh and Frederic is the obvious choice, but I am afraid I really don’t see that.

As I wander the paddocks of the world, I have found that if one is looking for Vasseur the best place to find him is usually at Mercedes where – no doubt – the multiple World Championship-winning Toto Wolff is getting Fred’s advice about how to best run a racing team. I cannot remember the exact details, but one of them was a witness at the other one’s wedding, and so having the Ferrari team principal as the best buddy of the Mercedes F1 boss seems a wholly unlikely situation.

The key point, I fear, has nothing to with that. F1 is a numbers game when it comes to success. You are only as good as your last result and in the five years that Vasseur has been running the Sauber/Alfa Romeo team, with funding from one of the richest men in the world and from Alfa Romeo, the team has managed to collect just 181 points. That is 36 a season, which is 10 fewer points than Red Bull scores on a good F1 weekend.

Of course he would, what idiot would take that job… may as well just write your resignation letter as the same time as your acceptance letter, will save you getting sacked in 18 months time

If I was a Ferrari fan I’d be furious

How do they expect to win with a revolving door on the TPS office

Ferrari management are idiots!
