The new personel, bar Fallows, have only been there 5 mins. It’s the usual hype job pre season, and saying they’ve been focusing on this since last season. It guarantees nothing. They’ve always targeted 2026, and nothing suggest the team will be anywhere near the top 3 before then.
Alonso is now saying this as value insurance in the event he gets beaten by Stroll. It's more acceptable if Stroll was a diamond in the rough, a top talent, that no one realized.
