Ferrari 675 Speculation Thread

A place to discuss the characteristics of the cars in Formula One, both current as well as historical. Laptimes, driver worshipping and team chatter do not belong here.

The hump in the final area of the engine cover (where is the 27), appeared in the Haas while showing the new livery for the 2023 car, is the same as that of last year Alfa Romeo and was due to the push-rod rear suspension.

II think that was more than a presentation of the livery, as the car is completely different from last year.
Maybe there was something of the new Haas.

Ferrari and Haas share the engine, the gearbox, and the suspensions.

Are we going to see a push-rod rear suspension on the 675?

Horner: “In theory, no one can gain lot of power anymore. If Ferrari has fixed the problems they can get more out of the same engine. This will inevitably lead to progress for them. I think Ferrari have a lot more margin, so we have to take that into account. We all saw how they really depowered the engine last year after their reliability issues. We had a few and minor problems last year which certainly weren't to the same entity as those of Ferrari."

not necessarily (obviously), but it's interesting that Horner talks about the power of the PU Ferrari after the +30hp "gossip". Anyway, a (re)gain of 30hp wouldn't be 1s of improvement even at Monza...

Well you can sense that Mercedes and Red Bull are planting the seeds of a protest

Is that website a reliable source regarding PU's? They wrote a lot of ridiculous BS on that subject in the past. (not Gazzetta level of BS, but still BS)

They're reliable most of the time. I remember they were saying in the winter of 2021 that Ferrari has a powerful engine on the dyno but there's doubt about the reliability and that was true. For sure not true all the time, but usually they don't tell BS.

Here the photos of the new Haas VF-23 on track and of the old Ferrari F1-75.

Ferrari and Haas share the same suspensions and on the new Haas the front one is different from last year.
The same suspension will be on the new Ferrari SF-23.

The first thing I notice is that the dedicated steering arm is missing, but there might be more.

It looks like the steering arm and the front lower control are in line with one another or shrouded together.

Kyle reckoned they're roughly in line with one another yes

Teaser of the sf-23 from the Ferrari app..

I feel like I can see the same nose shape & juncture with the front wing as in 2022:
