Given that the graphic says the weight is 798kg, I’d guess this is either a misunderstanding or a simple typo on the post. I would be astounded if they went from overweight to 12kg under the limit.

I thought the minimum weight was 798kg? This is just saying they are at the weight limit.continuum16 wrote: ↑22 Feb 2023, 16:59Given that the graphic says the weight is 798kg, I’d guess this is either a misunderstanding or a simple typo on the post. It’s not a typo.. look at the image more carefully.. “overall weight” means including ballast to get it to minimum weight.continuum16 wrote: ↑22 Feb 2023, 16:59Given that the graphic says the weight is 798kg, I’d guess this is either a misunderstanding or a simple typo on the post. That's why it seems like it should be a typo. Aston martin were overweight last year and weight reduction is incredibly costly. To cut from overweight to 786kg seems unfeasible within the budget cap alongside development of the car in other respects.RedNEO wrote: ↑22 Feb 2023, 17:28It’s not a typo.. look at the image more carefully.. “overall weight” means including ballast to get it to minimum weight.continuum16 wrote: ↑22 Feb 2023, 16:59Given that the graphic says the weight is 798kg, I’d guess this is either a misunderstanding or a simple typo on the post. It’s fascinating.. the image still says “overall weight 798kgs” so does that mean they slipped or just an honest mistake and we just don’t know how much under they are?
Mercedes gave them a new rear suspension and gearbox. Also remember that the AMR22 was incredibly unoptimized because they essentially bad a base that ran two different aero packages.organic wrote: ↑22 Feb 2023, 17:38That's why it seems like it should be a typo.
