The two sections are offset and because of the view angle to the left side of the diffuser they overlap. But if you zoom in on the brightened image you can see a transition.yinlad wrote: ↑23 Feb 2023, 20:31Pretty clear to see there's no slot on the left hand side of the diffuser. This is an absolute red herringBlueCheetah66 wrote: ↑23 Feb 2023, 19:56Might have to go back on myself

From this picture the 'slot' has a different shape to the previous image. It could still be a slot that could look different based on the angle, but I would find it more likely to be a shadow due to that
I think faintly you can also see the bend that produces the shadow on the other side.yinlad wrote: ↑23 Feb 2023, 20:31Pretty clear to see there's no slot on the left hand side of the diffuser. This is an absolute red herringBlueCheetah66 wrote: ↑23 Feb 2023, 19:56Might have to go back on myself

This shot has different lighting but it appears exactly the same.
It's getting flow from the undercut as well via underneath the front sidepod openings.GrizzleBoy wrote: ↑23 Feb 2023, 12:35Diffuser getting lots of flow from the upper bodywork through the mouse hole it seems
Could be a gurney flap as well.BlueCheetah66 wrote: ↑23 Feb 2023, 19:27I thought it was a shadow at first but I've now seen several photos with it present from different angles so it likely is there
The position doesn't make sense for it to be a gurney.ringo wrote: ↑24 Feb 2023, 02:21Could be a gurney flap as well.BlueCheetah66 wrote: ↑23 Feb 2023, 19:27I thought it was a shadow at first but I've now seen several photos with it present from different angles so it likely is there
That's based on what you understand the classical gurney to be. But you do not know what they are trying to do.AR3-GP wrote: ↑24 Feb 2023, 02:22The position doesn't make sense for it to be a gurney.ringo wrote: ↑24 Feb 2023, 02:21Could be a gurney flap as well.BlueCheetah66 wrote: ↑23 Feb 2023, 19:27I thought it was a shadow at first but I've now seen several photos with it present from different angles so it likely is there
Interesting! I googled this "turbulator" and you might be on to something.
