Verstappen was not on race fuel.
Perez was though.

Ferrari looked way slower than RB in the final day of testing last year, and also during FP2.
What i'm scared about is the understeer i saw on Charles on board. If the car isn't pointed on the front like he likes we are in deep trouble.

Agree with this. I vividly remember redbull going into the season as ‘ominously fast favourites’ just like this year, and everyone thinking Mercedes were completely sandbagging.

That’s not to say I think Ferrari is quicker, or that redbull is not legitimately ahead - it’s only to say nobody truly knows, and those that claim to are just trying to seem impressive (or are blinded by bias/hope).

Testing is almost over. The race will tell us everything.

Oh brother.

Its testing. The car was so on the nose on Day 1 it was driving like the rear wheels were on office chair casters.

During his "race run" i think the handling looked alright, the front was biting fairly well and the oversteer was mostly cured.

And they call it a stall. A STALL!

The Ferrari strategy team has taken a lot of flack in the last few years, a change could be a good thing for all parties… It keeps Rueda out of the spotlight and they can utilize his talents elsewhere and you get a new team in place with hopefully new ideas.

Indeed. Something clearly had to change, one mistake can be an accident. 4+ mistakes can only be a workflow problem

If the car continues with its high deg, they should just go Schumacher style—make an extra pit stop and drive the bloody hell out of the car the entire race. Beat them with pure driver quality, slightly better engine, and relentless strategy aggression. Play game face four down football. I hope Shaall has it in him. I sense Sainz has it, but I’m not as sure Shaall is a merciless killer — which they need with an aggressive strategy like what Schumacher used to do.

If more pitstops would be the fastest way to the finish line, they would do so.

High deg as well as handling quirks is what one will expect when testing with all possible settings range, nevertheless, Sainz FERRARI had fastest time in first season of day two, clocking 1-32, 486 pulverizing Verstappen's time from day one by 0.351 seconds.

Of course it's not good, they are testing and benchmarking low downforce setup on a mid-high downforce track. It's testing and it's not the best track for testing. It's not a bad idea to try and correlate wrong setup behaviour and race simulation with simulator work. If you have the poor setup correlated, then you can correlate good setup for sure. Leclerc's C4 lap shows same 1-lap pace as yestarday's Max' lap on C3, on a hotter track and insufficient downforce.
And they call it a stall. A STALL!
