A reminder to everyone but specially to the new people (welcome!).
The car threads are specially strictly moderated in this forum. Stick to this car and to hardware in the car threads.
Team politics and other team things, please in the team threads.
Lap times and will they be faster/slower than XYZ, either in the team threads, in the testing thread or in the race threads.

If your post is in this thread and is not centering on this car, the physical car, it might have been or might be deleted or moved.
Let's keep the awesome car threads on this forum
a) focused on the hardware and
b) awesome.

Incorrect, they have been using the lower df rear wing up until now. New one seems to have broken (DRS) on the first run. They reverted back to the other one used before.

Thanks… The time stamps seemed to show a change towards a lower DF Rear Wing

Ferrari is definitely setting a low downforce package as benchmark for this season. Beam wings from the launch car and seen all the time in Bahrain are the small ones, actually used in Baku and Monza last season. Interesting thing to test this layout so much and build the setup settings around it.

That's a completely new wing design for 2023, true mid downforce wing. Interesting treatment of endplate transition area, dramatically reduced frontal area with same planform, very efficient design. Single pylon also, interesting.
And they call it a stall. A STALL!

Correct. They put on the new one (with flow vis) for the first run, but evidently there was a problem with the DRS and they changed back to the prebviously used spec wich is lower DF.

A pity this new one broke; Might effect their running and data gathering whilst carrying out race sims today… might be back for the afternoon if they can mend it, otherwise might be back for Free Practice in a few weeks.

It's similar, but deeper in the middle and slightly bigger angle. Looks like there is slight reshaping of endplate transition, main plane is deeper as described and a switch to single pylon, DRS flap and endplates look to be completely the same.

Is Scarbs talking about the wing not being supported near the gurney flap? (his yellow arrow is unhelpful)

Not connecting from there to the DRS pod is common practice, and it's the same on the Mercedes, Red Bull and others.
(I think he has gone over to the dark side as he seems desperate to find fault with the Ferrari.)
