Worried abt Lance....he can't drive 57 laps with one hand. Why so much desperation? He has the entire season to make the comeback :(
Kubica drove a whole season + 2 stand-in races with one hand.
But Lance can't hold a wheel in turn 1. This will be very dangerous in 1 to 1 battles.

I think it's admirable that Stroll wants to get racing again and back in the car as soon as possible, but there is a safety concern if you can't turn the wheel fully. It would be horrible to be in a situation where you need to take avoiding action and you can't.

On more positive news though, Fernando looks really comfortable in this car - a top 4 position in qualifying is my hope

The amount of steering needed for an evasive action is not the kind he can't handle, IMO.
There is risk, though, more related to how he can worsen his injuries through the wheel kickback in the case of an accident.

At this rate, AM will put Drugovich in Alonso's car.

What a miss by Seb. How come he missed observing the team's progress....doesn't add up.
Its AM who gets rid of him when they realize Alonso is available to join

were you watching the onboard footage? he had to take 1 hand off the wheel at turn 1. He also nearly got into a big crash with PIA while coming out of the pits in FP1 so dicey things can happen there

Seb called himself out and AM contacted Alonso. If Seb is not running on this year car is his own decision and own doing. Nothing to do with AM

With all due respect to Sebastian, I am very glad that Alonso has taken the seat. My feeling is Alonso was driving better than Vettel and I would have hated to wonder what Vettel was leaving on the table. Again, much respect to Vettel is not the same driver that he once was. Flashes here and there, but with Fernando, you know you are going to get the maximum from the car without question. Fernando is the driver that is going to let Aston Martin Racing see their true potential.

Great comparison. The Aston is able to put the power down sooo early. Part of it due to Alonso breaking early and his entry line into corners, but nevertheless mighty!

With Fernando you know you are getting a motivated guy who leaves nothing on the table, who knows with Seb, maybe this car would've been enough to awaken him...

Given that Stroll hampered by no testing and bad wrists is looking like a good bet for Q3, i have to think he would be there too.
