Stroll is quality. If the AMR23 is a contender, he's going to change some minds about his "Prince" status in daddy's team.
It will go as well as 2020. Fast, but missing consistency.
The team is not the same as in 2020, yes probably might have some missing consistancy but it had been more investment on the team since and more senior staff with more experience on winning teams. So it would not be as hit and miss as 2020 was. At least as I see it
I'm not talking about AMR. I agree that team ops will have been reinvigorated due to Alonso's presense and new leadership.

I'm talking about Lance. Fast, but inconsistent.

Sorry thought you were talking about team. Lance just need a bit of boost of confidence, so might this year car bring that consistency

I sure hope so. It would be fascinating to see.

Aston must go all in this season with development. No more waiting for next year. It looks like they really are top 2.
Of course! They are not BMW. Also in this case developments of the AMR23 will benefit the AMR24, assuming the AMR24 is an evolution (which we have no reason to doubt it will be).

Hopefully no one would cry and regulations need not have to be changed for 2024. It would then mean, car development can last the whole season as it would carry over to next year.

There has never been a season in recent memory without a regulations plot twist.

May be dreamt too much. Top3 would have been mega but 5th place start will take it anyday. Alonso will be in hunt in race.

Yeah Alonso didn’t nail his lap but I doubt it would have been enough for p4 if he did. Pretty strong result for Stroll too considering his lack of mileage in the car

The AMR isn't a qualifying car. Watch out for the race. I don't think he has enough for MAx, but Alonso is going to take Ferrari to task.

This has been alonso's one weakness since coming back, somehow in last quali lap he is not able to make it count 100%. P5 atleast he starts on cleanerside. How top speed looks like, might be difficult to overtake ferrari.i guess game is on at tyre deg level only

Amazing result for AM....very close to the top runner looking at the messy lap by Alonso. Race pace is always the strength of this team so tomorrow looks even more exciting.
All the talks of AM made a big step forward is true. Dan already declared during the launch, they will be having aggressive development & 2/3rd of car will change during the season.
Extremely excited for season 23 =D> =D> =D>
