He had said the same back when Lewis desperately wanted to join Red Bull in their previous reign of 2010-2013. I don't think Lewis at Red Bull is a practical viability. It wasn't back in those days with Vettel being on his absolute best and it won't now with Max being at his absolute best. Lewis had his time at Mercedes and his only hope would continue to remain Mercedes.

Yeah, the practicality of it would never happen, Not even a test or development driver.

The way the teams setup now and how they bring setups to the track seems near enough bang on. It is very rare that you see RB being a poor setup to a practice session - which only just cements the bond and driving style with the team running the simulator for getting the best setup to the track.

I am wary of their work on Sprint race weekends where there are chinks in the armour in terms of setup preparation. That needs improving.

Yeah, we need a little more work on those weekends where things aren’t fully optimised in FP 1/2.
Maybe they should just focus on race pace from the get go, but probably wouldn’t work in hindsight given the short stint of the sprint race. I wonder if that’s where some confusion comes in between wanting to get the car perfect for the sprint, but not optimal for the race. It’s effectively adding a extra factor into the mix where you need to race on likely a medium tyre and lower fuel, that what the tyre would likely see in the race.

Bad weekends happen, austria was the worst.

We still don't have high quality pics from the Shakedown? I checked the content pool but nothing there about Shakedown. Feels kinda off, normally they'd post at least an onboard video after the car's been seen by everyone.

Probably they tested the RB20 (powered by Honda jet technology - reliability upgrade only) that day

I'm interested in seeing what they'll run at the Nordschleife.

I'm assuming it will be the car that they do their showruns with - like they drove down a slalom course in the mountains etc

So Jos should have been delighted that Checo beat his son? He is an evil villain for being biased? :wtf:

People are driven by such strong emotions, to the extent that, they try forcing compliance on others to behave in line with their emotions! :o

A father can't be as sad as his son and be grumpy! I wouldn't have complained if Jos wouldn't have even greeted Perez (which he did) when he expected his son to win, which was prevented by unfortunate, frustrating mechanical issues.

Will they be able to afford the weight of white paint this year?

Now that teams have figured out they can run without using paint, I doubt if they go back to painting the cars anymore than what they do today. They can use that 3 or 4 kilos of paint as a ballast (if they are under the weight limit) to balance the car better.
