This is not good for competition, and is in fact counter to the ban on those privacy panels Ferrari used to use in the garage some years ago.
Well Baku should create some opportunities for some more lifts.
We did see the underside of the Apline that crashed last time out in Melbourne.

An exciting picture depicting the diffuser`s details ... maybe those sinuous shapes are acting to create those vertical vortices?

In this picture, we could see that RB19's front wing has the smallest frontal area of the top three teams ... this is because they had to balance it with the rear wing consequences of adopting a low-drag car philosophy hence that`s why the front wing has a lower AoA? In addition, could we say that they design on purpose that the airflow must travel untroubled over the top flap and under the front upper leg of the front suspension and furthermore land over the frontal entrance of the Venturi tunnels?

And the last question: how can an anti-dive & anti-squat suspension setup help the RB19 car to achieve lower ride heights in general speaking and in particular even lower than 2023 rules allow?

There isn’t any regulation on ride height but there is a regulation introduced in 2023 that the floor edge raised by 15 mm as well as the stiffness of the floor edge increasing. Also the diffuser throat is raised. All aimed at both making the cars run a bit higher and reducing the flow being choked off.

To answer how the anti-dive and anti-squat geometry could potentially help Red Bull run its car lower. The geometry likely allows Red Bull to run softer spring and dampers due to there being naturally less pitching moment in the suspension geometry. It could be that the softer spring and dampers then compress at higher speeds as downforce increases with speed. The effect is self feeding as the floor height reducing with the springs compressing further increases downforce and reduces the floor height further, increasing downforce again. The trick though is tuning it so that it doesn’t set up a porpoising loop because the flow is being choked off and it seems like Red Bull has got that just right. How they’ve achieved that such that even external inputs such as bumps on the track don’t set it off is remarkable. I don’t know but in my limited thinking, the only solution I can think off is some sort of aero bleed in a controllable way such that a bump doesn’t compress things too much which instantly reduces downforce due to flow choke and then sets off the porpoising. Either Red Bull’s floor is incredibly insensitive to sudden bump induced changes in ride height or they have some sort of aero “relief” in the system. Either way, they can run soft, run lower with downforce compression as speed increases, yet not sensitive to sudden changes in ride height due to bumps. I can’t help but be thoroughly impressed.

This is the car in Australia. The scoop now touches the red line on the livery. Definitely higher up. It also now has a much sharper edge and the mirror winglet has changed

Yeah it's definitely higher. I'd say about 50mm ?

When the rb18 first unveiled Kyle engineers talked about this in his analysis. With the way they've designed the inlet you can decouple the sidepod inlet from the scoop and play around with its height easily. Seems RB are exploring this idea

When he mentioned that last year I expected them to use it more frequently, but I guess it wasn't as big of a factor, so they held off on it until now
