Looks like they've widened the inlet based on the mirror, but made it shallower. Should provide even more flow down the undercut.
I'm pretty sure that they can't have widened the sidepod inlet.. if you look at the regulatory volumes at the front of the sidepod, the sidepod inlet would have to taper aggressively rearwards if it was made any wider, which it doesn't do.. Unless I'm mistakenOwen.C93 wrote: ↑27 Apr 2023, 18:25Old:

Yes, and wider. Is the mirror attached differently now? Otherwise I think the vane is in a similar location to last race, but the side pod itself is wide (which explains the extra distance between the mirror support vane, and the outside of the sidepod inlet.
The front profile of the new scoop looks remarkably similar to the silhouette we saw on the low quality Silverstone shakedown video...

I don’t think that’s a single louvre exit, just the entire plate not screwed down. It also has a gap along its bottom.vorticism wrote: ↑27 Apr 2023, 20:50Will this be a permanent change to the sidepod inlet or track specific?
With this change the inlet lip and the VG are no longer conjoined.
Added another comparison image below.

Single louver exit per Fabrega (below).

I don't think it has changed since launch; it was pointed out at pre-season testingAR3-GP wrote: ↑27 Apr 2023, 23:01Is this old or new? I know they had some overhang of the front wing, off of the endplate, but I didn't know it was that much.

RB have created a Merc-like slot at the FW in their own way.
They create this by having an overhanging piece of FW that extends beyond the endplate and 'cuts in' to connect to the endplate. And they position the downwashing fin that a few teams have at the rear part of the endplate presumably helping this function as the endplate slot did last year.

The flap adjuster is also cranked outboard too compared to the rb18, as well as some aggressive curvature changes potentially causing more vortex shedding in this region..
