Verstappen slacking in sprint quali ultimately led to that contact with russell who was locked up on the inside as usual only carrying about himself. Fortunately Ver he managed to prevent a dnf- mostly. Having russell besides you on the grid is always a high chance of having your race ruined, dude is nuts.

Kid doesn't know how to be a winner. Sorry for the less race related comment. Kind of sad really. The media will love it though.

RB car is incredible though.

To other peoples comments I think the format isn't the problem as much as the cars/formula.

Verstappen sounding like the ultimate sore loser cry baby man child for what was a relatively innocuous incident

This wasn't good sprint. Baku is not the track for it...
Which was a good sprint?

Once again a Ferrari driver will be the only driver ever penalized for starting on cold tires and touching the car in front, like SAI in Australia.

They even changed the rules for red flag restart, admitting it's a tough situation, but not without penalizing SAI.

The double standards again. When Max does it, he is an over aggressive, unskilled driver. When it happens to Max, he should not complain, it's racing, first round blah blah.

Russell locked up almost destroyed his car, only because Ver left a boat sized hole on the inside prevented both dnf. So yeah, russell is a tool, I understand Max completely.

George sending it up the inside and causing damage.

Guarantee the radio from George: "He turned in on me"
He didn't send it, he was alongside and left space. He was alongside even before the braking zone

It's pure racing, gr left all the room for max corner after corner.
he was fully behind coming into the corner. braked too late trying to overtake, locked up and crashed into side of red bull.

It was a nothing incident but it will be amplified because nothing else of note happened in the race. Media will just stir it to make out there is a drama.

Terrible weekend so far. Watching paint dry or watching Snooker with Mark Selby is more entertaining, and that’s saying something.

It's always like this, but still it'll be max 3 times wdc at the end so it's ok

Ferrari demolished the tyres. Medium
Lasted about 14 racing laps.

Perez was away into the distance
Ferrari did not “demolish” the tyres. Charles did not have the pace and simply did what was necessary. He just said in the interview that it had no sense to fight Perez. After some point he did not give it all.

It’s not a surprise RedBull has the better race car. If we consider how far back Ferrari was on race trim in the first races, they seem to have closed the gap a bit.

It shows that years he spent at Williams were complete waste. He didn't learn racing in midfield, fighting only the likes of Schumacher and Mazepin at the back. Now he often gets overexcited fighting at the top, wants to become a hero and beat big boys. Max was like that in 2015 and 2016, lol.

Qualifying done, sprint done and it already feels like the weekend is done. We already know the pace of the cars. No unknowns left for tomorrow’s race. Much less anticipation and excitement for Sunday. That’s why these sprint weekends are a failure.
