As for Leclerc my instant reaction was "Charles LeCrash strikes again". It might not have been his fault, but you don't want to keep
ending up in the wall at critical moments in qualifying or the race.

F1 seriously needs a rule to punish drivers who are responsible for red flags. Extremely unfair for Verstappen and the rest behind having to start behind someone who ruins it for everyone.

Verstappen is behind because he made an error on his first lap, in fact 2 errors in the same corner where LEC went off. He should have finished the lap like LEC finished his first lap despite the bad time.

Yes but still. As it is now, it is possible for a driver to take advantage of not being punished in situations like these, at least of course if you are in a good position after the banker (I know Lec was not in this situation). Not that I think anyone would do it on purpose, but it really ruins the excitement when it is like this.

Can’t believe how long it took for the red to come out either. Usually it’s instant when a car hits the barrier. Took forever today.
20-25seconds. I bet a lot of that was to create a show for tomorrow.

Will be Drs train after lap 2 so I doubt that early, contra tyre strat maybe for max to stay out and use the cars pace while other pit

Well... the floor hit the ground because he was going way faster and mounting the curbs with complete disregard for them.
He went beyond what his car was setup to do.

For the second race in a row, Williams had the biggest fall in lap time. True, most of the cars that got to Q3 did there fastest time in Q2 becouse of the red flag:

He drove over some rain drain which lays abit deeper then the track , it looked fast but actually he was cutting the corner
