21 seconds from impact to red flag to be exact. Not to mention initially it looked at least from the TV shot that he might have even got it out the wall.

Regardless, even if they threw one after 5-10 seconds, I doubt they'd have restarted the session. The pit-lane chaos wouldn't be worth it.

What happened on Max’s first lap attempt? I need someone to blame for his mistake.

Verstapen’s first lap should have been his second and final attempt to be honest!

Like Leclerc he pushed way too much way too soon and paid the price! Both Max and Charles did exactly the same mistake taking too much kerb with Leclerc taking the most and thus ending up worst!

I don’t think tomorrow will be difficult for Max to come back…he can easily win this with the kind of pace advantage he has all weekend long even on top of Perez! A safety car will also make things a lot easier for him and this is a street circuit so I’m expecting at least 1-2 SCs!

Rain will spice things up a bit but I don’t think we’re gonna get rain anyway…

Hamilton in the Merc not really part of the conversation today (or at all this year). Leclerc could have been up there. Max could have put in an epic lap with more time.

I think this grid is best we can ask for the show. Otherwise honestly quali is the best part of the weekend because its driver vs themselves so to speak.

F1 seriously needs a rule to punish drivers who are responsible for red flags. Extremely unfair for Verstappen and the rest behind having to start behind someone who ruins it for everyone.

That's where great banker laps pay off. I think it's still fair. Red flag early Q3.. You still have one chance efter that.. Red flag late Q3... Did you put in a good banker?
