Do we have any pictures of alonso's steering wheel?
I knew someone had asked of this, and it took me a while to find your post...

Yes we do:

Almost certainly a pre 21 wheel given it's closed bottom. They've been running open bottomed wheels since Seb came in. But basic button configuration remains the same. Check T1 Bahrain on an onboard shot to see what I mean

There is some tricky geometry/discontinuity going on with their flap's joint with the rest of the wing. Hard to say exactly what they're doing

Generating more lateral flow expansion to increase the downforce, like 2017-2021 diffusers did. It's also a small drag penalty, but I don't expect this is a problem for the high-df wing. It's curious how they got around the rules to make it happen, this is not what the rule makera had in mind
And they call it a stall. A STALL!

This is the sort of thing that needs to be banned because it goes against the purpose of the new regs and creates the dirty air the new regs were meant to remove.

AM did have that unique endplate on their Hungarian RW last year. Could this be a similar interpretation but going under rather than above the main plane? There aren't more photos really to see what's going on.

Excellent visualisation of strong lateral flow at flap tips.
And they call it a stall. A STALL!
