Watched SAI's lap and he barely ever gets the RPM blue light on in his lap, in fact during start of lap straight even the red lights don't come on (ferrari has blue lights for gearshift indicator), engages engine limiter before the end of the lap on last straight, he's definitely well within limits of the car in corners 1-4. As others have noted the floor of the car is at least a few cm higher than LEC's car, particularly during the fast bits there's still space.

I think both Ferrari drivers were heavy on fuel in their laps, they seemed to be lazy in direction changes as well, is this going to account for 1s? no idea.

The floor seems to be a lot lower this session.

Verstappen's pace is in a whole different league but I believe the Ferrari's are keeping up with Perez?

Let's wait for the long run pace write-ups

The testing tyre is said to be close to a hard tyre, Ferrari did the first few laps on it, I couldn't follow timing past the tyre change.

Yes, I was looking at the long run pace, for a while there Leclerc was matching Checo on long runs. I could be wrong tho, that's just what I saw
