McLaren have always gone well here, but lost chunks in the last chicane. With that gone now the track plays fully into their strengths.

Can't believe how tight the field is!

What did they do? How come they matched Verstappen's Red Bull both in Q1 and Q2 when the team was nowhere near the top 4 in the last 6 races?

Track specific, just suits the car. McLaren are strong in high speed corners like previous years.

Let's hope they can repeat what they did in Q1 and Q2. Now the time counts. How used was that soft tyre we had?

It has a lot to do with track temperature… McLaren seems to be able to generate energy and temperature in the tires quickly, when temperatures are low this allows them to have more grip… That’s why they seem to have struggled in most tracks when we had high temperatures so far

Might not have the best car... but McLaren definitely have the best driver

He could have done a 1.12.300 but good job for that P3. What happened with Oscar Piastri? He was so far back.

Oscar made a mistake I think.... ---

Good --- from Lando.. he messed his sector 3 up and was pissed but still went purple..
