The car might be a tractor, but it is a tractor that can pull trough. Norris is the man to extract the performance indeed, and the car is not a complete dog if even a rookie is able to get it into Q3.
definitely, yeah, probably even better. Piastri was only 0.050s off Norris' time after S2, so without the mistakes in the end, 2nd and 3rd was maybe within reach.
We should all be doing rain dances, we need it to pour down to give our lads a chance101FlyingDutchman wrote: ↑03 Jun 2023, 17:58Quite impressive for sure. Now i am definitely looking forward to our upgrade package.
Great laps for the boys. Was almost disappointed as more was on the table but on balance we have to take it. Hope the top speed doesn’t hamper our potential in the race with DRS behind
And Silverstone. Esp after the next updateorganic wrote: ↑03 Jun 2023, 18:05Stunning performance today from Norris I am always impressed by him in these conditions
Piastri also looked pretty good in the drying conditions until q3 - a shame but good experience for him!
McLaren will be rain dancing all year based on Monaco and this session.. fingers crossed for mixed/wet conditions tomorrow; who knows Lando could fight for a win in the wet
Based on how strong the car is in the final two corners and how draggy it is.. I'm expecting Austria to be a strong showing for the team.
