What would you call the new series?

I'd go with FormulaGP

and would it follow that F1technical.net would become FGPtechnical.net? :P

how about Formula 0 (zero). Would seem like the natural progression where the better formula is signified with a lower number.

wouldn't even need to change FOTA acronym

From number one to zero?

They will probably find a fancy name for it, but I doubt that they will ultimately race under it. It makes more sense to repeat the FOCA trick.

There's only one name that suits my idea of perfect single seater formula racing. Grand Prix.

Thus my suggestion for Super Grand Prix (Super GP for short, but not SGP)

just like Super Bike, fota may use Super GP

'Super GP' sounds too Japanese, everything is 'super' overthere; Super this, Super that...

thanks for the heads up, just googled it.

If that's the case, then the use of GP would be at the top of my list

Formula 2008.5, since they want to keep the 2009 rules for Who knows how long minus KERS, the only technical innovation in F1 in the last 15 years.
