BMW-Sauber Petronas / Toyota-Williams

Post

Well...hear about the BMW/Sauber rumour? Or the Toyota-Williams? whisper whisper! shhhh....

If true, I hope the BMW/Sauber will be a tight knit (as tight as Honda-BAR, McLaren-Merc, perhaps? Ferrari-Ferrari?) That is if BMW supplies to Sauber only. Perhaps the BMW name will help lure some sponsors for the team. Bring in some cashola; hopefully Sauber will be able to run the windtunnel 24/7. Also free up some of Sauber's (Ferrari-engine) cash so he can do more r&d, or run a 3rd car on Friday's practice. Looking up for Sauber!!!

On the other hand, with BMW and Williams breaking up, rumour has it the latter and Toyota might join forces. Does that mean Williams will be a sister team to Toyota? I doubt Frank will ever allow that. However, how can you have a championship winning car if your team's engines are second supplied? There is no way a Toyota-Williams car will be as harmonious as a Toyota-Toyota. I doubt Tsutomu Tomita will ever allow Williams to having the true potential of a Toyota engine, albeit a Toyota engine working in full harmony with a Williams chassis. Not looking so great Frankie...

the engine won't be the same that toyota team uses, it would be a little rev limited, so talking about top teams it's not a good solution the best imo is if that happen using cosworth engines adapted to williams chassis, surely they can built a very good V8

Does a BMW V8 exist at all? BMW normally boast having next year's engine well before other teams... this time around, Mercedes, Honda & Toyota are close to track-testing theirs. BMW's unit is nowhere to be heard.

Go Williams-Cosworth! :D

So will Toyota be possibly supplying engines to both Jordan AND Williams next season, as well as themselves?

it's possible why not, but i think that isn't going to happen, remember when cosworth powered almost the half of the grid. but nowadays is quite difficult. it's known that toyota engines works good
