If they, say, need to deploy the medical car for a serious incident (as they might for a red flag) you can't have cars going at racing speed at parts of the track without an incident on it. The safest and so correct thing to do is to red flag it for everyone.Darth-Piekus wrote: ↑17 Jun 2023, 23:13You know Oscar Piastri was nowhere near those cars that were about to finish their Qualifying lap. Shouldn't they change that rule to allow for all those who are about to finish their lap actually finish their lap? Both Norris and Alonso were much faster than Hulkenberg and Alonso could have that pole. Why should the Red Flag be for everyone? I understand for those who haven't passed that crashed car but what about those who already passed that car and were at the last part of the circuit. Why cut them up?
Having watched the romantic era of the 80s, 90s and 00s I feel that F1 has become too soft.
I think we will have un update more in line to what AMR/Merc have and I think a rework of front/rear suspensions because those enable the car to have a good aero platform.mwillems wrote: ↑17 Jun 2023, 15:24Has the philisophy changed? What changed about the philosophy?Darth-Piekus wrote: ↑17 Jun 2023, 13:28So technically it is a B-Spec car after all since everything changed on it even the philosophy.
I agree 100% with you,now days they are too soft, one two,red flag, one two penalty, but money talks so they have these stupid rules.Darth-Piekus wrote: ↑17 Jun 2023, 23:13You know Oscar Piastri was nowhere near those cars that were about to finish their Qualifying lap. So far they talk of only aero, but it will be interesting to see if there is a new suspension.MTudor wrote: ↑18 Jun 2023, 00:01I think we will have un update more in line to what AMR/Merc have and I think a rework of front/rear suspensions because those enable the car to have a good aero platform.mwillems wrote: ↑17 Jun 2023, 15:24Has the philisophy changed? No timescales we’re mentioned unfortunately mate…..I’m sure if something has been agreed prior to January 2024 it’ll soon be revealed.
That's BS, show me one single quote from DR blaming the car? He always blamed himself for not being able to extract pace from the car.billamend wrote: ↑17 Jun 2023, 16:20Everyone knows the car is flawed and has been for a long time. But only one driver was unable to extract anything from it. Only one driver used that as an excuse.
Lando has said multiple times that he doesn’t care that the cars are difficult to drive. He just wants it to be fast, he can adapt to anything.
The looks to be a fair amount of damage to the rear end, I'd be shocked if the gearbox is ok.
according to the new rules, the gearbox can be changed without penalty. But, there are only three gearboxes for the season.
