I don't know what Leclerc's options are in the short-medium term in terms of switching teams, quite frankly I think there are zero. I personally believe switching teams before the big changes in 2026 is not the right thing to do either.
I don't think it's zero. We don't know how attached RB is to Perez. Or whether Hamilton/Alonso wants to continue for much longer.
Why would RB want to put Leclerc next to Verstappen? Do you think Max would OK that?

Pace and deg looks pretty decent today.

Brave call by the wall.

Deg looks the best since start of 22. Couldn’t believe how long those mediums stayed competitive for. Will be interesting to see how the last 8-10 laps are on the hards.

Last lap

Leclerc: 1:16.191
Sainz: 1:16.188

Incredible how close to robotic these guys can be.

Best race of the season by far.

Great strategy call during the safety car. Worked perfectly.

Strategy was good for a change and the pace they were able to keep on the mediums was very good. I was expecting them then to show their real pace on the hards… but then nothing. Seems like they were still struggling on that compound.

The medium was just a much better compound overall for this race.

Good strategy for once. Decent pace in the race. Nothing more to do after the quali disaster.

Both Leclerc and Sainz were running times near equal to Aston and Mercedes ahead. Consistent high 15's/low 16's through the entire stint.

I wouldn't call that a struggle. I think Aston and RB are still a step ahead for sure though.

Baku? 2 poles and the only podium?
And they call it a stall. A STALL!

More down to Charles' brilliance at that track than the team working together.

Baku was by far the better weekend it was just straight forward and boring. A bit off bias towards a brave call working and in general a more exciting race

Step in the right direction. Yesterday was horrific, and that compromised today, if they had been starting on the front two rows, they definitely would have pitted under sc, and come back out on mediums later in the race, not sure they would have had the pace of the AM but definitely think they could have had a good battle with MB as Charles was actually starting to gain on Lewis the last 5-6 laps. Sergio unable to compete on the 1 stop strategy, and clearly something has improved with the way the car is handling the tires, as they did a longer stint on the mediums than many did on hards.

That being said, max opened up another gargantuan gap, and the car is miles away from competing for the win. Need some more upgrades now to take another step forward. At the same time need more consistency from the pit wall and the drivers.

It was looking really good after Baku as well, but then came the Miami cold shower. Any progress must be confirmed in Austria. Lots of changing conditions this weekend, the good setup might have been down to good luck. We need to remember RB was off pace this weekend (Perez especially) so gaps are smaller than they should be.

Ferrari strategy was on point today. Knew where they were going to end up and managed the race perfectly.

Too bad a podium was up for grabs had we had a decent qualifying. A better Sunday but still a little bit sour but happy with the strategy calls. I see Austria being another strong weekend given we dont mess up the setup with the lack off practice (sprint weekend w/ sprint shootout). I fear silverstone we'll the see the SF-23 we all hate (unless changes are made)

Vasseur also mentions some upgrades. Looking forward.
