And not inverting the two cars when Max was only 1.5s ahead and Sainz was clearly miles faster ?!

That was pure mediocrity from Aston Martin and Mercedes. Where on earth did their pace evaporate to? Jumped by Mclaren? th?

Keep in mind that this was not a conventional weekend - They had 1 session to try and get the cars optimal; Most likely they weren't completely dialled in, and that was amplified more on a short track. Not saying it'll be business as usual for Silverstone, but they should be more representative there... should be closer or on the pace to Ferrari next weekend.

it's definitely not setup related, maybe it's track related but Ferrari managed their tires better than anyone but RBR.

Lando pitted on 28 lap old hards with Ferrari in 28 lap old mediums lapping 0.3s faster per lap.
Alo was on 28 lap old mediums and lapping 0.3 seconds slower than SAI.

It has never happened, Canada aside, that Ferrari was strong on pace with old tires. RBR was also balls out all race, even Max only waited lap 50+ I think to chill a bit and Perez waited the last 10 laps so their pace was evident the whole race and they are a spaceship.

I was joking. It was boring, but you couldn't snooze like at other venue because the DRS is too powerful on this track and there was 5 sec penalty + Perez starting out of position

I would not say they have moved backwards. It is ONE race since they brought the upgrade and at a weekend where they had ONE session to adjust the setup. Not to mention multiple wet sessions since they brought the huge upgrade package. They're still in the early phases of understanding this current car. Weren't they pretty close to RB at Canada?

It was one of the races of all time.

Can't fault RB for creating the monster that is their car, but it's getting a bit...tiresome?
