McLaren MCL60

A place to discuss the characteristics of the cars in Formula One, both current as well as historical. Laptimes, driver worshipping and team chatter do not belong here.

It all reminds me of the stage in Mugello, when McLaren brought an updated front wing and nose cone, which, according to philosophy, was from Mercedes. Then I didn’t find any photos either, but I saw the first images only in the first practice on the Lando car. Therefore, the Team is encrypted to the last.

In the brief glimpse of Lando’s car on sky, the new front wing looks to be more of a Red Bull profile, to me

Look like endplate design changed to create more outwash

That still looks like the old wing, the camera seems to make the wing look different from different angles but I don't think it is. Can anyone highlight in two pics specifically where they see differences between wings? Because looking at these two pics below I can't see much, certainly not in the endplate.

Even the twitter feed against the pics of the "new" wing are asking when we will see the new wing.

Look at the above, the wings dont merge into the endplate like the old design, its detached and held with a metal strake instead, and by the looks of it to create more outwash

Thanks I can see that change now, very hard to see, I was looking for more, to be honest given the 25% of the upgrades arriving on Landos car, although some may be under the surface or not on the car yet.

Its not a wholesale design change like merc, more of a tweak, but that said, it is in a very crucial area that can have great impact all the way downstream,

the change to nose/nosecone i cant spot yet
