Only tuned in during safety car. Was the rest of the race as boring?

Oh.

These new regs are weird. Races that usually yield excitement seem to be not doing that anymore.
Could be a case of the DRS and slipstream not being as big as the previous regs?

Six wins in arow for Max. His only rival in this championship is a driver named "it wasn't straight forward."

When that driver is there Max doesn't win by 20 seconds he wins by 10 seconds..

Mmmyeah... That's 2023.

Ferrari poor tire deg strikes again, that's what cost them today, that put them out of sync with the leaders and they lost out on the free stop.

AND then they had to go hard so we're on the defensive at the restart.
More like their strategy cost them. They could keep Mercedes' away and boxing early just gave them clean air to overcut them.

Didn't everyone want DRS to be less effective or no DRS at all? Here we go. These regulations have removed all those nasty aero appendages that used to produce so much drag and made the cars generate less wake and in turn less slip streaming. Moreover, unlike in the past, cars don't need those big barn door rear wings on this circuit, which reduces the DRS impact.

Lando has rejected RBR multiple times so I doubt that would happen.
The cheapest sort of pride is national pride, every miserable fool who has nothing at all of which he can be proud adopts, as a last resource, pride in the nation to which he belongs; thus reimbursing himself for his own inferiority.

Feel bad for Piastri...
Can't believe that Lando could hold on hards.
Very much looked like McLaren were faster than Mercedes in all right places to counteract the tyre advantage.
His performance through the Maggots-Becketts(where aero beats tire grip) sequence was enough to keep him at arms length from Lewis.

Once the title is wrapped up, I think we might see multiple race winners. With RB being stagnant, they will be caught. Problem is, they’re working on next years rocket ship already. So then it will probably reset once more.

Actually Piastri deserved it, McLaren deserved both drivers on the podium.

Hard to be certain but I don't see much room left in the regs for aero development. They are the most watertight regs yet published with no truly open areas left. So it should get tighter, if you look at the rulebook. The cars will keep converging toward the RB18.

Given the regs and what they allow: how many dents can you put in a dough ball? How many different squiggly lines can you draw on the top element of a four element wing? Etc.
