Finally i found someone more pessimistic than me.aleks_ader wrote: ↑07 Aug 2023, 22:37There will be no competivnes. Lets be honest. Now is just time to set no deadlines and improvements will come naturally. But not 25, 26, not 27... Ferrari just need shut their mouth. Personally i think they lack hugely in some TOP simulation tools. Tire shenanigans are dragging all from 2017...

Context: i was quite worried after testing and predicted a difficult season and many here were "against" me. Turned out it was much worse than i predicted sigh
When the team loses 60+ points with one driver and the other driver loses 50+ points in the races it's very hard to say the season is good, no matter how good or bas the car is. The total number of points lost in WCC in 2022 in this period is about the same, the sad thing is that only the PU reliabilty is improved - but the car went backwards a lot.
Not all facts are interesting, but that one is
Problem is multifacid for sure. But here is inherently something wrong in processes. But u can't discover it internally. Many times u need new set of eyes. But those people will reportedly arrived about 2024. Due gardening leave etcXyz22 wrote: ↑07 Aug 2023, 22:44aleks_ader wrote: ↑07 Aug 2023, 22:37There will be no competivnes. Lets be honest. His face during testing told me everything I needed to know
Obviously I tried to stay hopeful but when car was shite in Jeddah race all hope was lost for this season
I still can't tell if they are running the PU in "safe mode" to protect itVanja #66 wrote: ↑08 Aug 2023, 10:33When the team loses 60+ points with one driver and the other driver loses 50+ points in the races it's very hard to say the season is good, no matter how good or bas the car is. First few races had some funny top speed figures, that looked like PU is turned down. However, it later became clear they changed the deployment strategy at most races. Right now they are the closest to RB on top speed at most tracks, so it's unlikely the PU is turned down.
They had teething problems early on but after that everything has been running solidly, with this perfect(knock on wood) reliability it would be crazy for them not to run the engine as intended.Vanja #66 wrote: ↑10 Aug 2023, 21:30First few races had some funny top speed figures, that looked like PU is turned down.
