Ferrari SF23

A place to discuss the characteristics of the cars in Formula One, both current as well as historical. Laptimes, driver worshipping and team chatter do not belong here.

Looks like they have brought two different rear flap profiles to try.

Looks like the beam-wing with the structural upper element is fitted. Lower downforce config than others are adopting; RB had success with the medium-high df rather than pure high df last season here, so not unprecedented. Might be required for best balance.

The link to the tweet doesn't work.

Here is a pic of the beam wings of Ferrari also taken by Albert Fabrega and a tweet also by him.
They seem to be the ones used in Silverstone:

Thank you for providing the pics. Yes my twitter link to a Fabrega post failed

It was meant to be this:

I'm surprised they will use a wing similar to Silverstone/spa here

We have a Silverstone configuration (of both rear and beam wings) and also mid-high rear wing from last year (and Barcelona this year). I fully expected high-downforce configuration as seen in Hungary, so this is surprising.

And they call it a stall. A STALL!

Maybe they'll make some tests for Monza.
Also that outside corner of the diffuser is more rounded, a new detail in design or I missed?

Just a bit of a visual illusion, you'll see its the same if you look hard enough

Formu1a.uno also suggests a new rear wing is to come. Not only this, they suggest a single element beamwing, not yet seen at previous rounds, could feature at Monza for more aero efficiency. But they say that it is not certain the new BW will be seen
