For the third time in a row it's Max Verstappen who takes victory at the Dutch Grand Prix. This time in unbelievably mixed conditions that were similarly mastered by Fernando Alonso as AMR seem to rediscover their pace. Pierra Gasly was over the moon with an unexpected third place for Alpine.
16.8 medium tire average for stroll makes you wonder where Alonso where end up. Alonso's hard tire average is already quicker than Stroll's medium run. Lawson and De Vries are both at the track and both are under contract to drive for RB in this sort of isntance. De Vries would be the safe choice, and you'd think he would be pretty motivated to have a good showing. I doubt Nyck would say no if they asked, so this must be RB wanting to give Lawson a look while also potentially not wanting to entertain going back down the de Vries well. He just arbitrarily removes certain lap times though. Like Lewis drove a 17,5 when his tyres first started to drop. That's an X here. Contrast with Alonso where he keeps a 17.9 from the first lap.
