Williams FW45

A place to discuss the characteristics of the cars in Formula One, both current as well as historical. Laptimes, driver worshipping and team chatter do not belong here.

What are we looking at here? Air pressure? Or a scan after someone took a jump through the grass and gravel?

Low downforce rear wing for Spa and then probably Monza and Vegas, they can change there downforce levels with gurney flaps and diffirent beam wings.

Looks like the recent crashes have depleted Williams' front wing stocks. On Sargeant's car, they have reverted to the pre-Silverstone front wing for this race:

Pretty sure it's the same, just a new livery. I post it because Alfa Romeo and Williams uniquely are the only teams running these deep chord front wings.

Great image. Here's a similar image of the 2022 FW44 (Silverstone-spec) showing how much has changed in a year:

Those bands of different material have the appearance of marshmellows... Maybe a softer material that squishes when the tea tray hits the road.
