It is probably going to rain tomorrow also, so the wing that produces more downforce will be used. I suspect that the new wing only becomes more efficient if there is enough airflow behind the wing to require further expansion, I can only imagine that it sacrifices some DF to do this.MCLvamos wrote: ↑26 Aug 2023, 13:27Wonder why they aren't running the new rear wing. Hopefully not another weather gamble, is tomorrow meant to be wet or dry?
The other consideration could be that they didn't want to risk the new wing in a wet FP3 especially after Oscar broke his yesterday. Perhaps we may see it back on both cars come quali.

Most of the teams, especially the big teams tune down their engines…..Darth-Piekus wrote: ↑26 Aug 2023, 15:27Nobody is worried about practise sessions. We all know Mclaren tends to tune down the engine a lot and the car looked good yesterday and didn't seem to have lost any speed today. Now if the conditions stay mixed like this we got to calculate the best time when to have both of a our drivers for one last run at 1 minute remaining when the tarmac is at its best.
