I have always thought Albon as a very good driver. In karting he was mega. He can put the car that lacks DF where it doesn’t belong. Very good show. This was another great qualy, albeit Max blasted the rest.
I'd say Albon is overrated, I think he's Gasly's level. Williams has good car this season on low downforce tracks.

Williams does have a good car on certain tracks. Otherwise sergeant couldn’t show what he does. I don’t think he is overrated. He just flourishes now, with lower pressure and more experience. He is not a total winner, that is maybe where he lacks a bit.

Zandvoort is not a low downforce track which is why this is strange.

Albon also didn’t expect it. The car is a bit of an enigma.

Good at Australia, Zandvoort, Silverstone, Canada. Decent at Austria, Hungary. These are similar tracks that the W13 was good at. Despite the W13 being a lead weight on the straight and Williams being a rocket. Could be related to ride heights and narrow operating window

Not really. Times were well off the theoretical peak dry pace. The Williams probably preps its tyres quickly, giving the drivers confidence to push. Thus the times. Will probably come back to haunt them in the race where it will equate to more tyre deg.

Ham sucks at qualifying nowadays. Always just scraping by by the skin of his teeth. Always a "pleasant surprise" if by q3, he manages a decent position. No longer exceptional in the wet, and now beaten by Sar. Yeah... time to retire mboi

How is the man that has outqualified Russell in like the majority of races crap at qualifying? Leclerc is crap too I guess.

Leclerc this year, very gung-ho and not very good. Today and Miami were stand out poor.

Poor qualy by Hamilton's side of the garage. Fore some time in Q2 it was if he was dawdling. They were probably trying to make things too perfect by having the tyres fress for the last 2 minutes, where they could have just run around like everyone else and still get into Q3. Anyhow that's racing.
Max just has an unbeatable car at the moment, I did not see Norris coming anywhere close. Poor performance by Checo. He just does not do wet weather driving.
Good job by Albon. I think this car warms the tyres faster than Mclaren. We have seen similar in the past with Williams' cars. Hulk's pole in Brazil comes to mind with the drying track.
Ferrari are nowhere. Aston look okay.
I think Russel can win the race if something goes wrong with Max. Hamilton once again not where he needs to be to win when it comes to a track that the car goes well at.
For Sure!!

That some people don’t want to read it doesn’t make it not true. Russell in P3. Helmut also was expecting Hamilton there.

Changeable conditions favours a confident driver who understand the car limit. On a bone dry track the Williams probably fails to get out of Q1. The conditions helped them. Superb stuff from Alex to outshine others in a much inferior package. If he hold P6 that is a win.
