I believe they're referring to how I've said Hamilton has not had many great performances in the wet recently before the weekend, so wouldn't necessarily be favoured if it rains. Then Hamilton went out in Q2 in such conditions - by his admission due to being too slow - and held position for a few laps at the end of the race today. So I guess that apparently refutes my opinion

You know the season is boring when a race just ended and nobody is arguing about anything.

To all concerned, your favourite driver is not very good and did x thing wrong today.

Also, your favourite team has questionable leadership and needs to do better/worse to even the field.

Also, the race director should've/shouldn't have done x thing to affect the race in a way that pleases me.

Perhaps our standards are different, but I would consider 8th pretty impressive in a Williams. The same goes for Gasly in the Alpine and Alonso in the Aston Martin.

I was more interested by your mere 3 second statement. How much should have Max won by when there was a red flag in lap 65 out of 72. You expected him to win by 30 seconds in ~5 laps?

I guess he missed the safety car restart and the soaked track.
Max still left Alonso in his wake. He was not head and shoulders beyond Alonso while being chased, you could see there was some amount of panick, but he was still in control and the car was riding beautifully.
Monza is going to be even more one sided.
Redbull is king under braking and efficiency and now they have a top speed avantage.
Ferrari need to bring out the Monza special engine. They have nothing go lose.

So Hamilton wasn't slow in the wet in Q2 yesterday? Or you just prefer to cherry pick performances that suit your narratives?

As far as I remember, today when the rain happened Lewis didn't make a great call (to box on lap 1 or even lap 2), or even after the restart at the end he didn't gain any positions.. What was so good this weekend that refutes my opinion

I think Mercedes had a very good car this weekend and they left an enormous amount of points on the table. Toto felt the same way. Russell is too eager, Hamilton let’s the race come his way, that did not really happen today. Mclaren also wasted it, but perhaps they didn’t have the race car. Alo was great, Williams also made the wrong call, still p8. Gasly was there to collect the points. Perez was very lucky to end 4th.
