Why is it strange that they don't invest in something they don't need? Remember, they are on a budgetcap and won last year with a very simular setup.

Overtaking ability is maybe even better with a more loaded rearwing, as the entry speed onto the straight is better and the DRS equals out after that anyway. And if the RB is in front, good luck keeping up and even thinking about an overtake.

There are new directives on flexiwings and body parts.
Looking on this front wing I am seeing where the first element could flex downward.

I might be wrong, but do Red Bull only ever change their last two flaps for circuit specific changes. You see some teams bring completely different spec front wings some races but I feel like the RB19 front wing, aside from the last two flaps has remained the same for the whole season. Probably a good cost saving approach

This time we can see from the two Giorgio Piola drawings below another crucial distinction, one which could well be right at the core of the RB19’s big performance upgrade over its predecessor and perhaps one which will be widely followed by rivals next year: the chassis is of a completely different section – no longer flat and square-edged but much more vee-shaped.

I am pretty sure most teams have a similar shape to it. Maybe not extreme at the RB19's but all teams have some sort of aggressive filleting on the nose structure. Mercedes's is also quite close to a V shape I believe

It could be a more efficient shape with regards to the upwash from the front wing.

Its been a feature on Newey designed cars for a very long time, I believe even going into the early 2000s and maybe even earlier than that. Its mainly just to reduce losses along the chassis. I remember seeing a drawing in Newey's book showing it good for the front wing vortices. They obviously have less vortices in this area in the new regs but it would still be beneficial.

So car 1 is running more rear downforce than car 11? Interesting.

It's also interesting that it required a completely different DRS flap mechanism. Where have they cobbled that together from especially as it's not something the higher load wings required:

I believe it was like that from fp3 onwards already. Max had that tiny bit more in the middle of RW. I don't think it made any noticeable difference for drivers.
