RB could be in a bit of trouble in Las Vegas if the concerns about very low track temps come to fruition: https://www.motorsport.com/f1/news/f1-t ... /10523464/

There will not be any sunlight to warm the track.

To me it's dependent, in greater bias, on lateral loading to get the carcass moving, and the primary way to get & keep a tyre warm enough within its operating range. Long high energy corners will be highly desirable ( I dont know the track layout) but short /slow/tight corners just won't do it for some chassis, as we've just seen in Singapore

The stronger tyre carcass will push this RB and Aston back again if they can't access that method.

Good to see rivals are aware of what RB have been up to :D
The RB20 should be even more of a monster than the RB19. However don't count all
your chickens just yet. Mercedes might yet get on top of these regulations and McLaren
might pose a few problems for Red Bull.
The determinant factor of a dominant 2024 will be Checo. I'm a huge redbull fan and with it Checo, Meaning most of this season during all sessions my eyes are glued to the timing pages and missing some of on-track action. Mercs, Ferrari, McLaren have a better driver combo. If those three teams and probably Aston come up with a car that is only 2 tenths behind, then the only driver Checo can beat consistently will be Stroll. I just hope it's not a skill issue but rather a confidence issue. With Max, you are sure that, barring a mechanical issue or an ill-timed safety car, he will get the maximum points possible. With a tight fight for the championship, pressure from Checo poor performance will transfer to the team leading to mistakes. They need to sort this before 2025. If the rb20 is dominant, what better way than to get someone new and young, have him experience a great car, build confidence and prepare for a multi team battle in 2025 and beyond.

You folks have been repeating this as a mantra fer the last n races and guess what… came quali the speed deficit was still there. Your car is a monster in fast corners, if there’s a top speed difference it’s 90% aero, not engine. On acceleration it’s engine.
And where exactly did I say anything about the top speed?!
When you comment about speed and the only difference is top speed, you are commenting on top speed.
I commented about the lap time, not the speed. Read again.

They are implying the "we can run it harder for longer" routine that Ferrari and Mercedes have exploited.

According to Lawrence Barretto
Red Bull had put a halt on confirming Yuki's contract renewal then Honda stepped in

Apparently, Honda met with RB representatives and pushed and got the deal done.

Perez is absolutely ridiculous, this car should be an easy, EASY 1-2 on this track (and many others). This will cost the team greatly in a more balanced championship, he has to go ASAP.

Perez was 1,4 seconds of on his first run, 0,7 on his second, if only he had a third run….

Perez had only 1 set of fresh tires left, no banker.

Plus he is going up against the best ever that wanted to prove a point today.
