I can't remember last time McLaren had two drivers on a podium... This day feels like a turning point. The team is really delivering on all fronts now. Mega job!๐Ÿพ๐Ÿพ

To be honest the highlight here is how much better the deg was for the car after the Singapore upgrade. They are able to keep a high level of pace for longer now.

Back in Hungary, both cars were flying for the first 6-7 laps after pit stops. But then they fell off and had to play defensive as the gap they built began to tick down.

Stella said the next raft of upgrades will improve race pace, and it certainly has.

To think David Sanchez and Rob Marshall havenโ€™t started yet who are the teams 2 big hires and are well regarded in the paddock.

Unsure if any of the other new recruits in the aero team have started

Yes I was thinking also that this new package is a little slipper, the team did say it was an all round upgrade with a noticeable benefit in slow corners.

We look pretty decent now with DRS closed, much better than we've done before and it is useful to have that old wing to compare against as we know the improvement must have come from elsewhere.

There were a lot over the winter break who did start and probably added to the knowledge.

Only a 20s gap to Norris from Ver. The TD thread will have a meltdown.

Mclaren should be 2nd best again. Really, Mclaren should be 2nd best at all of the remaining GP. The top speed issue was cured since Singapore. Mybe Ferrari gives them a run in Las Vegas but they should have the competition covered. Norris was well and truly in another planet today.

I don't think it was anyone here, but on social media they give him a lot of flack whenever Oscar outqualifies him and suddenly start underrating him and therefore underrating Oscar, too. Sometimes it seems like Lando is the only driver not allowed to be slower than his teammate during quali.I don't remember people slandering Sainz back when he was being outqualified by rookie Lando.

Anyway, so happy for them both, especially for Oscar. 1st podium as a rookie, in one of the most technical circuits where he had never raced before. I'm pretty sure he's the first rookie to get a podium here. Amazing. He got DOTD too, deserved.
