2-stop was faster, it’s that simple. RUS fcuked his own race up; might’ve had a chance to both beat SAI with a 2. Every week steadily dropping points to Ferrari.

On a +ve note to those that care about runners-up, HAMs actually in with a good chance lol
Team ANTI-HYPE. Prove it, then I’ll anoint you.

Constructors title? What does Lewis mean here? Is he speaking in regard to next year?

He's talking about the "mini championship" with Ferrari. RB are far off and - now - already titled.

He's becoming savage

Is there some sort of un-written title going round the paddock that excludes Max and Red Bull?

I can see the theory, but as ive been shot down before, its a ever evolving season and as they would stand currently, without Red Bull, Mclaren wouldnt be in with a should of taking the 'without RB' title given their points.....but based on performance, its a different story.

I think it's because last year Merc finished 3rd in the WCC, quite far from Ferrari. The aim is to finish 2nd this year to "show the progress made".
But in reality ofc McLaren are faster today, and I want to add that Ferrari are faster since a long time.

They just had strategic disaster and bozo moments from their drivers but they should already be ahead in the WCC imo.

It's also politics from Lewis I guess. But he's right, without his consistency making the car looks good Merc would be 3rd in the WCC with McLaren coming at them probably
(Little simulation :
- Russell has 115 pts. If we give 115 pts to Lewis it makes Merc 230 pts in the WCC
- McLaren has 172 pts
- With 6 races remaining)

I think it's pretty obvious he means p2.

The way Hamilton raced George today seemed like the kind of argy bargy reserved for opponents of other teams, not a teammate. I don't think Mercedes cares who finishes ahead of who, they have bigger fish to fry, but they do need both cars to finish.

They need to stop being hard headed and copy tge red bull concept like McLean did... McLaren is humbling them and outdeveloped them by gaing 1.5 sec lol

That's what Lewis seems to be trying to get them to do, according to him they've already added some things to the W15 he's requested and he's going down to the wind tunnel this week. They'd be fools to not follow McLaren and RB and stick with their zero pod concept for another year

It was both ways I would say. George’s late dive bomb into the chicane was very risky and could have ended in a contact had Hamilton not been vigilant. As long as they do not make contact, all is fine I think. But that won’t last long if they don’t calm down from here on.

Problem is. McLaren are still a mile behind Red Bull themselves.

So just copying Red Bull isnt the silver bullet. They need to find something that enables them to actually challenge Red Bull and not just catch up to McLaren.
If that is possible

Mercedes are having to baby him so much. If anything, he’s become a bit of a nuisance in this team. Happy to play the team game, only when it suits him.

He enjoyed himself last year, but this year the dummy has been spat out. As he said himself, the season has been a disaster.

I totally agree.
The guy is 75 pts behind Hamilton in the Championship but he acts like there has to be a shift in power in his favor in this team... Lewis is there since 2013 and keep carry this team these days. Merc should handle the situation differently, even if Russell is obviously the future of the team.
