Alonso's fastest lap was on used softs...wonder if they'll run softs tomorrow?

according to the official live timing, all his runs in Qualifying were on new tyres, and he used all six sets. Is that incorrect?

edit: no, it's correct. No new tyres left:

He can’t be mentally done as he never had any mentality to start with. For me this proves that taking the money from billionaire sons is the wrong decision. They have no consequences to fear and without having gravitated to F1 based on talent you are never going to make it against those that have.
Did you seen him when he got out of the car? Pushing his trainer and in turn a team-mate about?
What a fool

Yes, I saw it. He can do this as they own the team. There will not be consequences so he does it. Never were.

So, do we have any idea of the long runs or all to be seen tomorrow?

Think he was just pissed at himself. I wouldn't make much more of it than that.

I got onto his onboard pretty early on that last lap. I didn't see any shininess on the tires that you do when they're new. Maybe I missed it. I thought he was reusing the set he used at the end of Q2 that he didn't complete the lap with ....

It still sets a bad example and it is inexcusable behaviour to shove someone. Excuses have run out and this is lack of talent and composure showing.

Ofc he was. And I agree, that is understandable and you could even look at it as a good point, it shows a certain passion.

But at the same time this is what you get when there never are consequences. How would you work if you were the physio getting pushed here. He was only doing the right thing in trying to prevent Stroll getting a penalty from not immediately going to get weighed. Would he try it the next time (do the right thing) or would he fear losing his job and not attempt it again). That is not how you want people to have to work. But OK, this also happens at other teams when emotions run high, true.

Apparently, he chucked his very expensive steering wheel onto the ground as well. At some point a line must be drawn.

What makes car so competitive on this track? Is it hot temperatures or just type of corners ?
