McLaren garage was kind of subdued after qualifying, probably adds some sting to what might have been yesterday.
Q: (Stefano Mancini – La Stampa) Kimi, will you help Vettel to win his championship this year?
Kimi Raikkonen: I can only drive one car, obviously.
@2018 Singapore Grand Prix drivers press conference.
Now we need a good sprint race start and have one driver play shield to either Piastri or Norris depending who goes first. Max is gonna be very fast in the race but the car is closer than before. Perhaps if we can play the Carlos Sainz strategy creating a DRS train.
The time for the sprint race has arrived. Good luck to both of our drivers. May they do their best. If they beat Verstappen it's celebration day. If they don't it will still be a day to remember. If things go as intended then at worst they will be 2-3.
Argh. Come on Lando. You were on the clean side. What kind of start was that? Terrible start. You got to work on those starts.

Both are normally good on starts, but he's on Mediums so it was a tough one, but Lando didn't have good traction away from the line nor through turn 1 with a wobble that let Max by. But he should get the Ferraris back later.
Actually Lando was on the clean side. He just had a very bad start. He has to work on those starts if he wants to be championship material. It's also a pity that Oscar made a racing mistake but it can happen to a rookie in his first year. The race is still long and the softs are gonna drop quickly (I'm hoping at least).
I think Norris left too much space to Verstappen in the second turn. He went wide. Anyway. The safety cars work in favour of soft tyres in two ways. They will probably last till the end and also those with mediums are easier targets at each restart.
