It's not that we lost our way, it's just that the car has fundamental limitations (non-existent front downforce, high wind/yaw sensitivity) that manifest at any circuit that has long-radius corners.

It looks like the car could be decent in Abu Dhabi and Vegas. COTA looks 50/50, provided we do not lose too much time in S1. Mexico is kind of a wild-card, and Brazil is going to be painful.

We have to keep in mind Leclerc had a DNF while running 3rd at Barhain (and 2 others DNF, while Carlos only had one).
I would add overall even if he was too inconsistent with some horrendous weekend (Netherlands & Spain or Miami) Leclerc has been much faster throughout the season imo.

If we argue about Sainz not being used to ground effect cars (Leclerc isn't ? He's not Niki Lauda) we can also argue about the fact that this car isn't fitting Charles driving style, even if he's trying to adapt to it.

And I think he will be ahead of Sainz in the standings at the end of the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix.

It’s not always us . RBR just got punished for doing exactly what Williams did last race. Fuel leaks and similar happen. It sucks of course but better now than a bbq few laps in.
