Will that not clash with Honda?
Note that AMR is not AM. If Geely buy 100% of Aston Martin, they'll still own 0% of AMR. AM is just a title sponsor and pays AMR for that privilege.
Oh okay, I was confused by the wording of the original post.
Don't think anything has been said about it, at least publicly. There's hearsay but nothing confirmed.
Updates also confirmed by Team Principal Mike Krack, although in reality he tried to give a more cautious view on the issue related to driving style: “I think we have to prove it first. The fact is that he has lost a bit of competitiveness and this is something we need to understand. We have suspicions and indications and I think Lance is referring to this, but then we have to make the appropriate changes and verify that, if this is confirmed, if this aspect is improved, he will improve too."diffuser wrote: ↑16 Oct 2023, 22:16interesting read Stroll explains the difficulties: "Now the car is too nervous" https://it.motorsport.com/f1/news/f1-st ... /10533414/
Geely is actively seeking other manufacturer partnerships, Honda cars are in trouble due to slow EV take up. A join up via F1 would make sense if they partner in car manufacturing.
If you owned 100% of AM, sold it, and spent all that Money to buy shares of Honda. You'd be lucky to end up with 5% of Honda's shares. Such is the size difference in the 2 companies. Geely only owns in the 20% range of AM.
Not to mention Honda continues to be the largest Engine manufacturer in the world (Cars, boats, plane, lawnmower, bikes, mopeds, you name it)diffuser wrote: ↑17 Oct 2023, 12:19If you owned 100% of AM, sold it, and spent all that Money to buy shares of Honda. Quick look on the NYSE and I can see Honda stock is up 25% for the year. This isn't growth looks more like covid recovery. I'm no expert but this doesn't look like they're struggling.
