This forum contains threads to discuss teams themselves. Anything not technical about the cars, including restructuring, performances etc belongs here.
Brake material change overnight is standard procedure, is it not? Just all around weird situation, though not unheard of, I remember hamilton had lots of problems last year with brakes almost entire season.
Anyway, nearly threw away the win.. Hamilton gifting it with that mistake and mercedes with their off set strat that ultimately wasn't on.
COTA had never been won from lower than the front row. It's hard to come through and keep tyres from overheating. From pole or P2 max probably wins by 10s and we don't hear about the brake issues
Car was obviously not optimal but worked surprisingly well considering how bumpy the track was.
Perfect strategy from RB and a couple of misfires from Merc allowed the p6->P1 to be possible even with a car that, with the brake issues, was not fastest by a long way
Apparently degradation was a lot lower than expected for all teams. Track must've been much better today. Probably played into other teams' hands relative to RB

Perez was actually lapping faster than Max for a bit on that last stint on the hard tire.
The braking in T1 and T11 was shocking. I checked the telemetry and T1 and T11 are the slowest corners on the track so it looks like below a certain speed the brakes didn't work. He was miles away from the apex on most laps. It was disgusting

Max has broken a record: 466 points, now the highest points total ever in a season. 4 races to go.
He also secured 33/34 points this weekend so his percentage of available points scored increases to 91.7% (from 91.3%). Also on track to be an all-time record
RB should remove Perez if it was only for such pathetic fans. This behavior must hurt brand value.
These fans are the reasons he is sponsored and basically a free driver. I agree that that their behavior is inadequate though.
Congrats to Max again for this week end with both the sprint and the main race. It wasn't easy today and the team performed a good strategy, the second pitstop was a little too long but he came back before Norris and it was the key to the victory as he needed to not lose time behind him.
