Lando likes to fight hard against Hamilton only.
Yeah I have seen this many times and how he talks about Hamilton he's made digs at him. Also doesn't look in Hamilton's direction if they're in the podium room. Strikes me as the guy that shows loyalty to a friend(Verstappen) by attacking said friends enemy. Just an observation not trying to stir --- on the forum honestly. I like all three drivers btw
Such bitter thinking. Is no one allowed to race and defend against Hamilton without it being an issue of toxicity. Norris wanted 2nd place and showed character defending against a faster car. <out of place content removed>

Norris even called on his team to check if Max went over the line.
Norris didnt want P1 then... why the guy let the door open for P1 on equal tyres BUT moved under braking (which is dangerous and should be penalized) for a P2 with worse tyre...???
It's is 100 race and the guy still hasn't won even a Sprint race

Perez fans letting Red Bull know their feelings on the podium, booing Max and chanting during the national anthems on the podium.

They haven't forgotten Maxs behaviour at Brazil last year I suppose.

No you didn’t get the point mate!

We like racing and defending! Just defend the same way you do when racing Hamilton! Both Norris and Leclerc just leave the inside wide open for Verstapen to go by as if it’s team orders!

Leclerc was racing Perez at the end like crazy yet 20 laps earlier he didn’t even look on the inside when Verstapen came by, although he had much better tires!

This has happened way too many times now for it not to be pointed out by everyone…

If Norris and Leclerc defended against Verstapen like they defended against Hamilton…Hamilton would have won today!

What a disgrace of a race…
Charles and Lando are in on it. I wouldn't be surprised if the CIA had a drone ready to take him out if he got the lead. [-o< for LH.

All the drivers on track have ambition to win they are not obligated to let Lewis through or be called the R word.

I originally thought Norris let him go because he was planning to not stop again. But once it was clear he was two stopping it made no sense not to fight harder.

Very well managed by Max. The car wasn’t really there but he still pulled out the win from P6.

Mercedes went for the delta but couldn’t make it.

Yeah. His car was in the parking lot, but his rocket ship did it's thing and won the race with damaged brakes.

If Hamilton hadn't locked up costing him 3s on the first stint he'd have won. We can spend all day looking at the what ifs
Hallucinating or something?

He may have lost 0,3 out of that! It was Lando that lost 1+ second by doing the same mistake!
Norris lost 0.8s, Hamilton 2s.

RB put him on the optimal strategy again (praise lord Hannah). Hamilton could've won that if Merc grabbed the strategy by the horns and undercut Norris in the first stint.

Probably because ahead of the race they discuss scenarios. And Norris has seen verstappen's pace in the sprint: apart from max's recharge lap, his slowest lap was faster than Lando's quickest lap by almost a tenth. There was a 4 tenth gap in clear air.

In meetings they'll have gone over what Lando's real battle is if max comes through the traffic and is hounding them with 30+ laps: should he burn tyres or save them to fight against the driver who in the sprint Norris looked to have similar pace to?

They have to pick their battles. Every fight you enter you're causing damage to the tyres and potential damage to bodywork

At that point McLaren didn't know max had a big brake issue either

Nono, that would make sense, which means it's not the answer. The answer is they are buddies and thus Lando is willing to gift Max his 50th win as he himself sits on.... checks.... 0!
