At the speed trap in FP1 Alonso was regularly hitting 330 KPH, not yet in Quali. Alonso had a couple of moments in turn1 in FP1. I think they switched wings or something for Quali with more DF. Either that or Alonso hasn't turned up the wick on teh PU yet.

Cold weather? In Monaco also was cloudy, in Zandvoort also and now again cold. Maybe all their problem related for tyre temperature.

Very nice. Stroll was very quick in quali

Did they have different parts on both cars?

Forget the updates, it's this track that changes the game.

You have to write off last year, the car is totally new this year. Based on results from Silverstone

Finally a decent strategy after lots of questionable ones. Saving Stroll's softs in Q2 getting by barely in P15 and then getting out early before the wind and rain, getting P3 and P4. Nice!

I don't think so.
It's raining, but the ambient temperature is very hot and stuffy:
- 26 degrees Celsius at ambient temperature and
- 41 degrees Celsius the track temperature (at start of the session).

So, do we know the exact configuration regarding updates/parts used for Alonso and Stroll?
If they were running different spec cars, then what they ran on Stroll's car definitely worked.
Also, if that's the case, then it's much more positive than we think it is, cause Alonso is traditionally quite quicker than Stroll, so that could had put him in contention for more maybe?

I counld't find any great pics, the ones I did find, looked like the old config. Like I said, they weren't great pics.
