That was a monster lap from Perez on used tires.
"because he didn't want to use a new set", as Marko just said on German Sky. :wtf:

He seems to be getting old. His statement in the AMuS analysis yesterday was nonsense as well.

Agree, Perez is doing a great job right now. All the more unlucky from yesterday that he could not finish his about P3/P4 qualy run.

No? They didn’t do a second run in Q3 anymore yesterday so everyone had 1 more fresh set left than expected, right?

I think Perez used an extra set in Q1 or Q2?
It doesn't turn.

This is from quali and doesn't seem tow affected given each team is lined up almost 2 by 2 (but the wind was a tailwind iirc)

Where did Perez manage to lose 2 tenths to Lando?
Mess with the Bull - you get the horns.

Ocon onboard. Tank slapper and clipped Alonso. I think Ocon owes Fernando an apology for that.
Ocon lost it there, but if you pause on the moment he tries to correct it, Fernando seems to be drifting back to the racing line for some reason. Seems odd to me.

Alonso moves sharply to the left for no apparent reason. We've seen 2 or 3 more snaps in the same place throughout qualifying so for anyone to say Alonso did nothing wrong to me is dumb.

He gained 2 tenths in S1. Lost a tenth in S2. and lost 2 tenths in S3.

S3 is sooo short to lose a big amount of time.

Yes, he did go back already a bit, saw that too. I think he thought, OK, Ocon (if he wouldn’t have drifted) is going passed, off the dirty part of the track.

Used tires. That will hurt later in the lap. On new tires Pole was on. For both Ver and Per. Per did a solid lap, Ver not so much. Slim margins though.
