I think the characteristics of the car have changed quite lot throughout the year. So it's hard to say exactly what AMR is good at in the second half of the season. At the start of the season it was bad Aero efficiency, draggy but great low/medium cornering. Then they chased Aero efficient and were sort of average at everything/ lost.

People were saying this track is low downforce track similar to Baku which AMR weren't bad in but they would have still had the benefit of their flexi wing at that point presumably?

I certainly couldn't say with out confidence which tracks would suit ARM in the second half of the season. Seems like a lottery to me but others will probably have more insight. What do you think?
I think they can change the characteristics of the car significantly with the change in parts. They've improved high med/high speed but haven't fixed it.

As far as I am concerned they're running the same config they ran in Brazil except they changed the wings.

I get the feeling that the best run plan for your flying laps is to run 4-5 seconds behind another car due to the very long straights.
Russell learned this the hard way going out for a solo run and on his second run managed to run 4-5 sec behind Bottas massively improving his time.
ALB SAR MAG GAS also managed to run 4-5 seconds behind another car and all leapfrogged Alonso.
Alonso did his best time in Q3 running 4-5 seconds behind a car on used softs in his 1st run.
On his second run he did not had any car in front, at lets say 4-6 seconds ahead.
I don't know how AMR and Alonso missed that trick for the final run on new softs.

Damn, bad end of Q3

Will be difficult to pass the Williams, we need a good strategy to jump both Williams.
I’m not too worried for the Haas and the Alfa

Got the sector times from both laps or at all the best sectors from qualifying?
Alonso seemed to have great potential in the later stages of qualifying.
First lap of Q3 was 5 tenths from Ferrari with used tires (against Ferrari's new) and a big lock up, too.
What went so backwards in last run?
From the onboard I didn't spot any big moment.
