It depends if he wants to focus on the engine side or return as a team principal. I'm not sure he'd want a job that would have him reporting to a team boss though. So Sauber/Audi look like a strong possible destination.

What about under Vowls at Williams? They get engines from Merc, but it still needs someone to optimise? He has the experience from both sides

I read a report that the link to Alpine has cooled, no reason given, but things change quickly in F1, so you never know.

Someone has to handle things. How much leeway is probably small, but all companies have an 'expert' in charge of goods-inward to deal with suppliers, from a corner shop on up

Probably irrelevant anyway as if Williams wanted one they would be looking or already have one

People often forget he is Swiss. And Audi will be based just outside Zurich
